Hello.
I’m Christine Perlino, M.Ed., and I’m glad you’re here. Being an educator is my life’s work; I have supported students in various capacities for over 20 years. With a Master’s in Education in Integrated Learning and certification as an Educational Diagnostician, I have helped hundreds of students thrive in their educational environments.
I began my career as an outdoor educator, guiding adolescents through the wilderness and equipping them with essential learning tools. Over the next two decades, I taught and led in both Waldorf and traditional schools, serving as an early childhood program director, general education teacher, swim coach, kids’ night-out director, family support worker, outdoor adventure counselor, and after-school program teacher.
Over the years, observing different learning styles, I gained deep insight into cognitive processes and transitioned into the role of Educational Diagnostician under the Texas Education Agency. For over a decade, I have conducted evaluations that measure various cognitive abilities, interpreted data, and administered diagnostic assessments for dyslexia, dysgraphia, adaptive behaviors, executive functioning, ADHD, and assistive technology. I have also served as a member of multidisciplinary teams for autism evaluations.
I currently serve as the Special Education Instructional Specialist for a magnet school district. I work with 5 school districts
I hold an undergraduate degree in Sociology from Emory University in Atlanta, GA, and a Master’s in Education with a concentration in integrated learning in early childhood and elementary education from Antioch New England Graduate School. I later obtained an Educational Diagnostician certificate from Texas Tech University and am currently studying Applied Behavior Analysis with the intent of becoming a Board Certified Behavior Analyst.
I recently completed three years on the board of the International Dyslexia Association Austin. I am certified by the Texas Education Agency (TEA) to teach grades 4–8, core EC–6, and Special Education EC–12, and I hold an Educational Diagnostician (EC–12) specialist certification.
I am here to help. I spend each day supporting parents, teachers, and administrators as they navigate their students’ individualized academic journeys, providing insights and tools to facilitate progress in their educational environments. I will share my knowledge to support you during this unstable time.
